Skopje, 15 July 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister Zoran Zaev met Thursday with Dušan Kovačević, the founder and CEO of EXIT, the region’s leading music festival, and with guests from the United States, namely American football players Lance Briggs, Turk McBride and Donnie Caldwell, who are successful medical cannabis growers in the United States. After analyzing investment opportunities in other regions around the world, the guests said that the benefits offered by the medical cannabis industry in North Macedonia make the country of special interest for the industry, the government said in a press release. PM Zaev presented the opportunities for opening plants for producing medical cannabis in North Macedonia and the investors shared experiences involving top technology and knowledge they are already using in their cannabis growing plans in the US. “At the meeting with the EXIT CEO and the American businessmen, challenges facing the music and event industry during the pandemic were discussed. Ways to organize EXIT festival events in the country were also discussed,” said the press release.
