PM Mickoski warns of political structures trying to incite ethnic incident

Skopje, 26 August 2024 (MIA) – There are political structures and forces in the country trying to manipulate a certain group of people to trigger an ethnic incident so as to protect their money stolen over the past seven years from the people regardless of their ethnic origin. It is their only way to incite a crowd for the destabilization or protests they are planning to organize this fall, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Monday.

As citizens, we mustn’t allow it and as the president of the government, I call on the people not to fall for this multimillion conspiracies, he urged.

“We shouldn’t allow these criminals to destabilize Macedonia because Macedonia is our common homeland and we will keep acting like this as a government,” Mickoski responded speaking to members of the media after a ceremony marking the 114th anniversary of the birth of Mother Teresa, who was born in Skopje as Gonxha Bojaxhiu.

Gonxha Bojaxhiu, he said, is a global, timeless person.

The people of Skopje, Mickoski added, should be proud of having her legacy and no ethnic, religious or any other origin matters here.

“As prime minister, it is my duty and honor to pay tribute to her and her work, which is timeless and whose acts left a legacy not only for her birthplace Skopje, the country Macedonia but also for the world,” stated Mickoski.
