PM Mickoski meets French Europe Minister Haddad in London

London, 22 October 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski met with France’s Minister Delegate for Europe, Benjamin Haddad, in London on Wednesday. Talks focused on strengthening cooperation, especially in the area of European integration, regional stability and common priorities within the European Union. 

"Today in London I met with Benjamin Haddad, French Minister for Europe. We discussed deepening cooperation between our countries, especially in the context of European integration, regional stability and common priorities within the European Union," Mickoski posted on Facebook. 

He added that the two also exchanged views on current European and global challenges, and reaffirmed commitment to promoting partnership and dialogue.  

PM Mickoski is heading a government delegation to the 2025 Berlin Process Summit which is bringing together the leaders of the Western Balkan countries in London, the United Kingdom. The delegation also includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski, Minister of Finance Gordana Kochoska Dimitrieska, and Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani.

The Berlin Process Summit is hosted by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and this will be an opportunity for Prime Minister Mickoski to meet again with his British counterpart after a period of only 5-6 months.

At the London summit, the achieved results will be reviewed and the priorities for the upcoming period of regional integration in the Western Balkans will be set.

The Berlin Process was launched in 2014 on the initiative of then German Chancellor Angela Merkel, with the aim of strengthening political, economic, and infrastructural cooperation in the Western Balkans and bringing the region closer to the European Union.
