Belgrade, 1 April 2023 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski wrapped up on Saturday the official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

Serbia’s Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedović saw off the North Macedonia’s government delegation, led by Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski at Nikola Tesla Airport, MIA’s Belgrade correspondent reported.

PM Kovachevski kicked off his official visit to Belgrade on Friday by meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

During his visit to Belgrade, Kovachevski also held meetings with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Vladimir Orlić.

The Governments of the two countries signed three memoranda of understanding – on improved flow of people and goods, a project for establishing e-tolls, and on cooperation in mining and energy.

Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi and Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedović signed cooperation memo on mining and energy. Cooperation memorandum on measures to improve flow of people and goods across the common state border, was signed by the Minister of the Interior, Oliver Spasovski, and the Serbian Minister of the Interior, Bratislav Gašić. Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski and Serbian Minister of Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure Goran Vesić signed memorandum of understanding on e-tolls, project for electronic toll collection - achieve an interoperable road toll system and accepted the harmonized text of the memorandum.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić during the meeting with the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovachevski, said that the relations between the two countries are the best they have been in modern history, while Prime Minister Kovachevski said there are no longer any open issues between Serbia and North Macedonia and that the partnership between the two countries is an example for the region.
