PM Kovachevski at European Political Community Summit in Chisinau on Thursday

Skopje, 31 May 2023 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, accompanied by Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi, will take part Thursday at the Second European Political Community Summit in Chisinau, Moldova.

The EPC Summit brings together 47 leaders, including those of 27 EU member-states, countries of the Western Balkans, as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Great Britain, the European Commission, the European Council, the European Parliament, the Government said in a press release.

PM Kovachevski will take part at a roundtable related to energy and connectivity and meet with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, and Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

Summit roundtables will focus on issues of current interest, including security of vital infrastructure, fight against cyberattacks, drafting a common pan-European energy policy, and the possibility of increased university and student exchanges.

The main focus of the discussions will be placed on three topics: joint efforts for peace and security; energy resilience and climate action; and better ties and a more stable continent, reads the press release.
