Petrovska lays wreath at US Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Skopje, 1 June 2022 (MIA) — Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska in a working visit to the United States laid a wreath Wednesday at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arlington National Military Cemetery in Washington DC. Minister Petrovska was honored to be able to pay tribute to the fallen American soldiers “in the spirit of the extremely close relations within our strategic partnership and alliance in NATO,” she wrote in a Facebook post. According to the Ministry of Defense, Petrovska also visited the Arlington National Cemetery Memorial Center, where she presented a plaque in honor of the fallen American soldiers. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National War Cemetery was built 101 years ago and is the final resting place of unidentified American soldiers from World War I and later wars. Minister Petrovska's visit to the United States includes several upcoming meetings with the think tank community as well as an official dinner with Celeste Wallander, Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy at the U.S. Department of Defense. mr/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkCC0dmAyp8
