Pendarovski-Kingji: Enhancing North Macedonia and Albania cooperation through open and constructive dialogue

Skopje, 20 December 2023 (MIA) - President Stevo Pendarovski and Major General Arben Kingji, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania during their meeting on Wednesday acknowledged the satisfactory level of bilateral military and defence cooperation between North Macedonia and Albania.
Major General Kingji is paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
Both the President Pendarovski and Major General Kingji expressed their interest in enhancing this collaboration through an open and constructive dialogue, President Pendarovski's office said in a press release.
“The interlocutors exchanged opinions and information regarding cooperation within NATO as two full-fledged members and neighbours. They expressed expectations that such collaboration will continue in the future, aiming to promote and enhance regional stability and security,” as stated in the press release.
President Pendarovski has voiced optimism that North Macedonia and Albania will continue to coordinate their positions within the framework of collaboration in the Alliance.
Pendarovski and Major General Kingji highlighted the joint training activities as a successful example of cooperation between the two armies. They expressed hope that the future collaboration between the two armies will progress and match the level of cooperation seen between the two countries at the political and economic levels.
