Skopje, 13 June 2025 (MIA) — Former President Stevo Pendarovski participated in the 20th Globsec forum titled "Commanding (in) Chaos: Time for Europe to Step Up" taking place in Prague, the Czech Republic, on June 12-14.

Pendarovski spoke at the "Western Balkans at a Geopolitical Crossroads: EU Integration ot Rising Regional Tensions" panel discussion alongside former President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic and High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt as well as other panelists.

At the panel, the former president said the delay in EU integration has exposed the Western Balkans to the threat of non-European and non-democratic influences from outside.

Pendarovski also urged the EU to take immediate action and complete the historic project of uniting Europe.

According to organizers, the Globsec forum has established itself over the past two decades as one of Europe’s most influential platforms for shaping global security and stability.

This year, it has gathered world leaders and innovators — some 1,500 participants from around 70 countries — under the patronage of Czech President Petr Pavel and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czechia to address pressing global challenges and shape actionable strategies for the future. mr/
