Skopje, 21 August 2023 (MIA) — President Stevo Pendarovski met Monday with National Council for Gender Equality president Savka Todorovska and other women's rights activists from the organization, according to an official press release.

At the meeting, they discussed the organization's current activities aimed at achieving gender equality and the protection of women's rights.

President Pendarovski expressed his support for the organization, which includes some 116 local formal and informal women's organizations and groups from urban and rural areas in the country. 

He praised the activists' commitment to the political and economic empowerment of women, to addressing gender-based violence, and to the inclusion of rural women and marginalized groups in society. mr/
