Skopje, 29 August 2023 (MIA) - As part of his official visit to the Czech Republic, President Stevo Pendarovski met with the Vice-President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Jitka Seitlová, and with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, in Prague on Tuesday. 

Talks focused on the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, with interlocutors voicing readiness to deepen cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest, including interparliamentary cooperation, the President's Office said in a press release. 

"President Pendarovski expressed gratitude for the consistent Czech support in terms of the Macedonian aspirations for EU membership and the contribution of the Czech Parliament in that context," reads the press release. 

Talks also tackled current developments in the two countries and the wider region, the press release adds.
