Pendarovski meets participants in ‘Green Agenda for Western Balkans’ conference
Skopje, 6 October 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met with participants in the high-level conference ‘Green Agenda for Western Balkans’, taking place October 5-6 in Skopje in cooperation with the Aspen Institute from Germany.   At the meeting on Wednesday evening, President Pendarovski was briefed on the program and goals of the conference, which is aimed towards offering a platform for participants from the Western Balkans, Germany, the EU, the United States, as well as international and regional organizations for talks on the potentials of the green agenda for the Western Balkans.   Welcoming the holding of the conference, Pendarovski stressed that at a time when facing the energy crisis and economic turbulence, the green agenda must not be forgotten, the President’s office said in a press release.   The President noted that the conference is a good opportunity to discuss and identify the main challenges and potentials of regional cooperation, as a factor for a stable and prosperous region, and the need for its constant improvement. An important aspect in that context, according to the President, is the perspective of the region's integration in the European Union.
