Pendarovski, Kovachevski to take part at 58th Munich Security Conference
Skopje, 17 February 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski and a Government delegation led by Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski will take part at the 58th Munich Security Conference on February 18-20.
The conference brings together more than 30 heads of state and government, about 100 ministers and heads of relevant international organizations, as well as top officials of the most significant international organizations tackling security issues.
President Pendarovski is set to meet with a number of conference participants, focusing on European integration and state of security in the region and the euro-Atlantic area, said his Office.
PM Kovachevski will be accompanied by Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj, Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, who will take part at several main and accompanying events, as well as hold joint and separate bilateral meetings, said the Government.
On Saturday, Kovachevski will address a panel on the EU-Western Balkans perspective organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC).
The Munich Security Conference is the world's leading forum for debating international security policy. It is a venue for diplomatic initiatives to address the world's most pressing security concerns. The MSC's objective is to build trust and to contribute to the peaceful resolution of conflicts by sustaining a continuous, curated and informal dialogue within the international security community.
