VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition "Your Macedonia" held a convention on Saturday presenting the list principles and the candidates for MPs in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for May 8.

Hristijan Mickoski will be the VMRO-DPMNE-led coalition list principal in the first election district, Vlado Misajlovski will head the list in the second election district, Dragan Kovachki in the third, Aleksandar Nikoloski in the fourth, Gjorgija Sajkoski in the fifth, and Dafina Stojanovska in the sixth.

Mickoski said that the VMRO-DPMNE led coalition is taking part in the upcoming double elections with people of integrity, whom he strongly believes in. He sent a message to the candidates for MPs that the responsibility is huge, and they should not disappoint the people.

He stressed that the upcoming elections will be historically important and crucial not only in the sense of fixing things, but also as a chance to send a message to those who have been looting the country for decades.

Political parties and coalitions are to submit the MP candidate lists to the State Election Commission (SEC) by April 2. The elections are scheduled for May 8. The first round of the presidential elections will be held on April 24.

Ahead of the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections, five coalitions are already defined, as well as two parties that will be running independently.

With less than a week until the official start of the election campaign, the SDSM-led 'Coalition for European Future', the VMRO-DPMNE-led coalition 'Your Macedonia', the GROM-led coalition 'Brave for Macedonia', DUI's 'European Front' and the 'Worth it' coalition of the ethnic Albanian opposition bloc have been set.

According to the announcements so far, ZNAM Movement: For Our Macedonia and the Levica party will be running independently.

In addition, Ziadin Sela's wing of the Alliance for Albanians (AA) joined DUI's 'European Front' late Saturday.

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti underlined that a peaceful campaign is needed, adding that the 'European Front' has the largest human capital that will move the processes forward together with the Turks, the Roma, the Bosniaks.
