Mucunski holds numerous bilateral meetings during Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Skopje, 13 April 2025 (MIA) - During the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2025), Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met with several high-ranking officials, including OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu, High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt, Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi, Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, and MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the talks with High Representative Schmidt focused on the political developments in the region, the European integration prospects of the Western Balkans, and the need for sustained efforts toward stability, peace, and reconciliation. The meeting with OSCE Secretary General Sinirlioğlu was constructive, focusing on security challenges and boosting regional cooperation and stability.

During the meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Moldova and Georgia, both sides reaffirmed their strong bilateral and multilateral cooperation, expressing joint commitment to enhancing economic relations and deepening support for European integration efforts.

At the meeting with MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk, Mucunski underscored the importance of opening and conducting accession negotiations as the most effective mechanism for ensuring the irreversibility of reform processes and democratic development. He also underlined the need to de-escalate bilateral blockades and to return to EU integration process to its core principles- merit-based assessment and fulfilment of criteria.
