Skopje, 2 September 2024 (MIA) - A Parliament delegation within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), consisting of Monika Zajkova as head of the delegation, and members Halil Snopche and Nikola Micevski, participated in OSCE's observation mission of Azerbaijan’s early parliamentary elections on September 1, 2024, the Parliament said on Monday.

The PACE mission is composed of MPs from OSCE participating states who were deployed to observe the parliamentary elections in the capital Baku and other regions in Azerbaijan. The observers closely cooperated with their colleagues at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), in order to obtain more information on the conduct of the early parliamentary elections in the country.

Some 60 short-term OSCE PACE observers were deployed for Azerbaijan's early parliamentary elections on September 1, making them the eleventh parliamentary elections to be observed since 1995, the Parliament said in a press release. ssh/ik/
