Parliamentary majority is stable and will enlarge, Rexhepi under pressure from opposition: SDSM whip
Skopje, 11 November 2021 (MIA) – SDSM whip Jovan Mitreski said Thursday the parliamentary majority was stable and would enlarge, adding that the opposition, not the authorities, put pressure on Besa MP Kastriot Rexhepi, who did not appear at today’s Parliament session on the Government no-confidence vote. “The information I have goes contrary to what the opposition is saying, namely that he is put under pressure by them. I expect Kastriot Rexhepi to come out in the coming period and say what happened. I know that he is a lawmaker who favors the European path and the country’s European future,” said Mitreski. According to him, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski is to blame for today’s events in the Parliament, because “he lied to the public of having 61 MPs on board.” “This is why Mickoski should not look for an alibi and blame others,” noted Mitreski. On the session, the SDSM whip said it can last until midnight in line with the Parliament’s Rules of Procedures.
