Skopje, 3 September 2024 (MIA) -  Chairperson of the Parliament Group for cooperation with the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, Olga Lozanovska, met Tuesday with Chinese Chargé d'Affaires Xu Lei, noting that the group consists of 8 MPs of almost all political parties in Parliament.

"We are pleased to see that a friendship group with our Parliament was formed in the National People's Congress, which is an excellent basis for establishing, nurturing, and strengthening close inter-parliamentary ties, which will affect the improvement of overall political, economic, and cultural relations between the two countries," Lozanovska noted.

Interlocutors agreed that despite the geographical difference, the relations between the two countries are friendly and develop in the spirit of mutual understanding and mutual respect, the Parliament said in a press release.

On a bilateral level, there is successful cooperation in many fields, such as science, education, agriculture, tourism, healthcare, culture, but there are also opportunities for intensifying economic cooperation, especially due to the fact that the Chinese economy is second largest in the world. ssh/ik/
