Skopje, 17 July 2025 (MIA) – Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi at the beginning of a session on Thursday said that Naser Ziberi's term as Ombudsman ceases on July 12, 2025, due to fulfilling the requirements for retirement.

"I inform you that Ombudsman Naser Ziberi has fulfilled the requirements for retirement on July 12, 2025. I hereby state that, pursuant to Article 9, paragraph 1, item 3 of the Law on the Ombudsman, the office of Ombudsman Naser Ziberi ceases on July 12, 2025 due to fulfilling the requirements for retirement," said Gashi. 

In a procedural address during Thursday's session, Levica MP Borislav Krmov requested a one-hour break over a request from Levica MP Jovana Mojsoska for obtaining the data on the travel expenses of all MPs.

The Parliament will resume its 60th plenary session after the one-hour break.
