Parliament to debate IMF PLL arrangement
Skopje, 14 November 2022 (MIA) – The Parliament is set to hold Monday its 92nd session, discussing the North Macedonia’s arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) through its Precautionary and Liquidity Line (PLL) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development-World Bank loan on building effective, transparent and accountable institutions for public finance management, both in expedited procedure.
IMF’s PLL is set to provide support to the national Budget in the amount of EUR 530 million. It ensures effective protection from crisis of those IMF member-states that have sound economic policies.
The project on building effective, transparent and accountable institutions for public finance management is projected at EUR 24,9 million, of which the World Bank is set to loan EUR 20 million, along with a EUR 4,9-million EU grant administered through the WB, implemented through a project management unit within the Ministry of Finance.
