Gashi: This year’s campaign one of the best examples of how democracy is practiced in our country 

Skopje, 19 October 2025 (MIA) – Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi after casting his vote in a Skopje elementary school said Sunday’s election day is a big day for democracy and congratulated the political stakeholders in the country on, as he said, the dignified campaign.

“Today is a great day for democracy. I commend the citizens. I congratulate the political stakeholders in the country on the dignified campaign. I believe this year’s campaign was one of the best examples of how democracy is being practised in our country. So far, no incident has been reported. I believe we haven’t had such a campaign so far,” said Gashi.

Gashi called on the political stakeholders, the institutions and the citizens to maintain the same level of dignified campaign until the end of the day. He called on the institutions, including the State Election Commission, and the monitoring missions to be at the right place doing their jobs in the most responsible way. 

The Speaker urged the citizens to vote in a peaceful manner to pick the candidate they believe will represent them the best in the next four years.
