Parliament schedules first plenary on promoting gender equality for March 8

Skopje, 6 March 2023 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi has schedules the 107th session of the legislative house, which is the first plenary session to focus exclusively on promoting gender equality, the Parliament said in a press release.
The session will be held on March 8 - International Women's Day, and the agenda includes a report on progress in terms of gender issues in the past two decades in the Republic of North Macedonia. Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska, as well as several current women MPs will address the session.
Several conclusions are to be adopted at the end of the session, which will also be attended by women ministers in the Government of North Macedonia, deputy ministers, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as representatives of international non-governmental organizations, particularly NDI, OSCE and UN Women, which have maintained continuous cooperation with the Parliamentary Women's Club since it was established in 2003.
