Parliament receives Government reshuffle proposal, Speaker set to schedule session
- The Parliament has confirmed it received the Government reshuffle proposal from Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski.
Skopje, 11 February 2023 (MIA) - The Parliament has confirmed it received the Government reshuffle proposal from Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski.
"The Government reshuffle proposal has been submitted and filed. The Speaker is set to schedule a session and the public will be duly infomed," said the Parliament.
The PM has submitted the Government reshuffle proposal after talks with the Alliance of Albanians (AA) over its inclusion in the ruling majority, seeking replacements in four ministries - justice, health, information society and administration, and environment and physical planning - along with five deputy-ministers.
Krenar Loga has been nominated for Minister of Justice, Fatmir Mexhiti for Minister of Health, and Azir Aliu for Minister of Information Society and Administration, all three coming from AA, while Kaja Shukova of SDSM as Minister of Environment and Physical Planning.
Loga is set to replace Nikola Tupancheski from SDSM, Mexhiti and Aliu assume the posts from Bekim Sali and Admirim Aliti of Alternativa, whereas Shukova will replace Naser Nuredini of DUI.
The nominated deputy ministers are AA's Tiron Jajaga - Ministry of Defense, SDSM's Viktorija Avramovska-Madikj - Ministry of Justice, AA's Vjolca Berisha - Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Maja Manoleva - Ministry of Health, and DUI's Agim Nuhiu - Ministry of Education and Science.
Coalition parther Alternativa has said it would hold a presidency meeting on Sunday to decide on its future role in the executive.
