Skopje, 14 August 2024 (MIA) – Lawmakers will begin their summer recess on Thursday, which ends on September 2. This year, it begins later than usual due to the adoption of the budget revision. Typically, the summer recess lasts from August 1 until early September. 

“Lawmakers will be on summer recess from August 15 until September 2. Since Parliament is not dissolved, sessions of the working bodies or a plenary session may be scheduled in case of an emergency,” Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi’s office told MIA.

Having held the first session on May 28 after the May 8 elections, the incumbent Parliament has held dozen sessions with the last one being held yesterday to pass changes to the law on health protection, under which the post of economic directors was annulled.
