Skopje, 15 July 2021 (MIA) – The Parliament adopted Thursday the amendments to the Law on Value Added Tax on lowering the VAT rate for household electricity from 18 to 5 percent. This VAT rate will be valid until 30 June 2022. After this date, namely from 1 July 2022 until 30 June 2023, the VAT rate will stand at 10 percent. The objective of the decision is to secure a lower electricity price for citizens and reduce their expenses.
