Skopje, 15 September 2021 (MIA) – The Parliament adopted Wednesday the amendments to the Electoral Code by 78 ‘yes’ votes, two ‘no’ and one ‘abstained’. SDSM whip Jovan Mitrevski said in the elaboration of the amendments that all parties of the ruling majority and opposition support the changes that arise from the latest OSCE/ODIHR report on the 2020 early parliamentary elections. “The changes ensure improvement of the efficiency and transparency of the electoral process, clarify and simplify certain parts of the process, jurisdiction of the electoral bodies and other institutions. In general, the changes will benefit citizens as voters, candidates and competent institutions,” said Mitrevski.
