Skopje, 17 July 2025 (MIA) - Our policy is a strong Macedonia, with a strong economy, governed by the rule of law, says Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski while referring to the strategic agreements with Hungary, the United Kingdom and Turkey, the excellent relations with the United States, and the alignment of the country's foreign and defense policy with the EU.

PM Mickoski told Kanal 5 that "except for the half-truths, lies and fabrications", the Government has not seen any corruptive or criminal affairs since it took office.

"We took a step back when we possibly made mistakes and upon the public's reaction. We have never hit our head against the wall. This country has an enormous potential and we have the first indicators this year that show this - in the economy, in the rule of law, in the structural reforms," says Mickoski.

On findings in the European Parliament report over Russian and Chinese influence in the country, the PM says it is foolish to accuse without presenting evidence, adding that Macedonian businesses pay the lowest interest in Europe through the Hungarian loan.

Regarding the reform agenda and the delay of the laws' adoption, Mickoski says he is personally monitoring the process, which takes a lot of time and effort.
