Osmani travels to Azerbaijan during South Caucasus visit

Skopje, 12 April 2023 (MIA) - Following Tuesday's visit to Georgia, OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani is continuing his visit to the South Caucasus in Azerbaijan on Wednesday. 

 

Wednesday's agenda includes meetings with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, as well as Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. 

 

At the meetings, Osmani will highlight the importance of the Organization in ensuring security in the wider region and the need for regional cooperation of the South Caucasus countries. 

 

In addition, Osmani will discuss the peace process with Armenia and offer OSCE support to promote and continue the dialogue between all parties towards reaching a comprehensive and sustainable peace agreement.

 

Osmani will convey the message that the OSCE will support initiatives that lead to normalization of relations, and North Macedonia as OSCE Chair will offer its experience in settling differences with neighbors through multilateral platforms for dialogue.
