Osmani to meet with top officials in Kazakhstan

Skopje, 10 August 2023 (MIA) — Continuing his Central Asia tour, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani is travelling from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to Astana, Kazakhstan, where he will meet Friday with high-level officials and civil society representatives.
FM Osmani will meet with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu. A joint press conference will follow.
He will then meet with Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Zulfiya Suleimenova and Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament Maulen Ashimbayev.
The foreign minister will also meet with representatives of Astana's civil society organizations as well as visit the OSCE Programme Office in Astana to learn about the activities and projects the OSCE implements in Kazakhstan.
Osmani's visit to Central Asia reflects one of North Macedonia's OSCE Chairpersonship's priorities, according to the MFA. Osmani will also exchange opinions on current regional issues and the work of the OSCE's field missions as well as their cooperation with Central Asian states. mr/
