Skopje, 21 September 2023 (MIA) - Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met with Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Interlocutors reaffirmed commitment to furthering bilateral ties, with a particular focus on economic cooperation and business relations, welcoming excellent cooperation in international organizations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.  

"As a member of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), North Macedonia has a significant role in the global fight against antisemitism. We remain committed to Holocaust remembrance, education and research, as well as to the fight against hate speech, fake news and other negative phenomena that we all face," Osmani pointed out. 

Talks also focused on security challenges and current developments in both regions, with participants in the meeting highlighting joint commitment to promoting peace and security, reads the press release.
