Osmani - Kuleba: European Union is our common future

Skopje, 24 February 2024 (MIA) - Foreign Minister in the caretaker Government Bujar Osmani met with Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba on the sidelines of UNGA 78 in New York on Friday.

The meeting was held in support to Ukraine on the occasion of the second anniversary of Russian aggression, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

Osmani stressed that it is very important to continue the support to Ukraine, adding that the Russian Federation is the biggest threat for the security of Europe and the Western Balkans.

"It is important to have strategic predictability in our country, in order to finally say "NO" for Russia and "YES" for the European integration processes in the Western Balkans and the Republic of North Macedonia," said Osmani.

Kuleba, says the Macedonian Foreign Ministry, thanked the citizens of North Macedonia for their support.

"Our future is common, the future is the European Union, which also represents a future for peace and prosperity," Kuleba said, as cited in the press release.

The two Ministers addressed the UN General Assembly, extending a clear message against Russia's aggression on Ukraine.
