Skopje, 28 October 2021 (MIA) – The Czech Republic is North Macedonia’s true friend. The country was and remains a sincere and vocal supporter of our European integration. As two NATO allies, we are demonstrating unity and solidarity in the management of challenges arising from the global security shifts, said Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani at the observance of the Czech Republic National Day in Skopje on Thursday. FM Osmani congratulated the Czech Republic and wished all the best to the country and its citizens, adding that both countries have enjoyed excellent bilateral relations and established productive cooperation in many fields over the past 27 years. “This friendship is not demonstrated only in the context of our Euro-integration, with the Czech Republic showing solidarity and offering support on several occasions, such as the 2015 migrant crisis and the covid-pandemic management,” said Osmani. Representatives of the diplomatic corps in the country, state officials and NGO representatives attended the event organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Skopje.
