OSCE Mission is strong supporter of good governance reform processes, Koja tells Grkovska
Skopje, 30 June 2022 (MIA) – Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance policies, Slavica Grkovska, met Thursday with the Head of the OSCE Mission in Skopje, Ambassador Clemens Koja, to discuss the reform processes and the next steps and activities in the context of the country’s OSCE Chairmanship in 2023. At the meeting, the government’s press release said, Deputy PM Grkovska remarked that the support and cooperation with the OSCE Mission is of great importance for the country, especially in the area of experiences and expertise that have been received during the creation of anti-corruption policies, integrity and good governance. “Grkovska affirmed the Government’s strong commitment to the reform process, remarking that the Office is working intensely on integrity training for chosen and appointed officials, as well as the creation of long-term and sustainable anti-corruption policies. In that regard she also informed about the process of drafting a new law on the origin of property,” the press release said. At the meeting, the Deputy PM said that during North Macedonia’s OSCE Chairmanship, the country strives to increase the level of public debate on good governance, the fight against corruption and personal integrity as the foundations of stable and strong democracies. “Ambassador Clemens Koja emphasized that the OSCE Mission to Skopje will continue to cooperate with the institutions in the implementation of the reform processes. The cooperation with the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, the Public Procurement Bureau, civil society organizations was also discussed during the meeting, with the Deputy PM informing that her Cabinet meets with the NGOs working in the field of anti-corruption and good governance once per month,” said the Government in the press release. ad/ba/
