Skopje, 20 September 2023 (MIA) - OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met separately with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Jeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan respectively, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.
FM Osmani expressed his deep concern over the military operations in the region and the threat they pose to the civilian population, urging for immediate de-escalation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
"The humanitarian aspects and needs of the local population must be ensured," said Osmani.
The OSCE CiO emphasized that the use of force to settle disputes is completely unacceptable, whereas sustainable and constructive dialogue in good faith is the only way to lasting peace.

"OSCE possesses the required experience, expertise and tools to facilitate dialogue and build trust, accompanied by implementation of relevant treaties," Osmani told Bayramov and Mirzoyan.
