Skopje, 14 September 2025 (MIA) - The condition of the four persons who were treated at the Toxicology Clinic after the fire in a waste recycling facility in the Skopje village of Trubarevo is not critical. A woman from Trubarevo has been hospitalized, while three others - an Army member, the Crisis Management Center director and a police officer - have already been released for home treatment, said Health Minister Azir Aliu on Sunday.
"The hospitalized patient is currently treated and I hope she will also be released soon," Minister Aliu told a press conference.
Aliu said the Government is set to adopt a decision that pupils attending schools near the Trubarevo fire attend online classes for a week.
Public Health Institute Director Marija Andonovska said air radiation parameters have not shown higher readings during their monitoring.
"Further analyses will be carried out during the day, including soil and water samples from the affected area," said Andonovska.
She urged people to follow the issued recommendations, especially vulnerable groups, persons with underlying and chronic diseases, pregnant women and children.
