Belgrade, 20 March 2025 (MIA) — One of the people with burns and inhalation injuries from the Kochani fire receiving medical treatment in Belgrade has been transferred from the Military Medical Academy's intensive care unit to its Clinic for Plastic Surgery and Burns, MIA's Belgrade correspondent reports.
Ten people injured in the March 16 nightclub fire have been hospitalized at the Military Medical Academy hospital center in Belgrade. Six of them remain in the intensive care unit.
"All of them are in critical condition," attending chief surgeon and hospital deputy director Ivan Lekovic told the national broadcaster RTS.
Speaking about the patient transferred to the plastic surgery clinic, Lekovic said his condition was no longer life-threatening.
"His life is no longer in danger, but a considerable fight for recovery still lies ahead," Lekovic said.
Currently, Serbia is providing medical care to 29 people injured in the Kochani fire. mr/
