One burn patient discharged from Ljubljana hospital, 68 remain receiving medical care abroad

Skopje, 6 April 2025 (MIA) — Sixty-eight people remain in foreign hospitals to continue receiving medical care for their burns and inhalation injuries from the Kochani fire, after one patient was discharged Sunday from the medical center in Ljubljana to go to another country, where the person has health insurance, the Ministry of Health said in a press release.


"The condition of the patients being treated abroad remains unchanged, including the condition of the critical patients," the release said.


Receiving medical care in hospitals in the country are 11 burn patients, according to data released by health authorities. Six are at St. Naum of Ohrid Hospital, two are at the Toxicology Clinic, one is at the Plastic Surgery Clinic, and two are at Sistina Hospital.


The March 16 fire at the Pulse nightclub in Kochani killed 60 people and injured around 200. mr/
