Ombudsman launches free phone line for citizens to report voting rights violations

Skopje, 1 October 2025 (MIA) - In the Office of the Ombudsman, as of today, citizens will be able to report any violation of their voting rights on the free phone line 0800 54321, both during the election campaign and during the first and second rounds of the 2025 Local Elections (October 19 and November 2, 2025).

According to the Ombudsman, citizen complaints will be addressed immediately upon receipt, either during live call or through recorded phone messages. 

The Ombudsman, aiming to protect citizens' voting rights, will take urgent measures to ensure effective action by the competent authorities involved in the electoral process and by other institutions that are required to ensure protection of their rights guaranteed. 

Free phone lines will also be available every working day from 8 am to 4 pm in the regional offices in Strumica (034)329-996, Kichevo (045)228-586, Tetovo (044)344-082, Bitola (047)242-310, Shtip (032)389-701, and Kumanovo (031)431-488.
