Ombudsman launches free phone line for citizens to report voting rights violations

Skopje, 4 April 2024 (MIA) - In the Office of the Ombudsman, as of today, when election campaign begins until May 8, 2024, when the second round of the 2024 presidential elections and the 2024 parliamentary elections will be held, citizens will be able to report any violation of their voting rights on the free phone line 0800 54321.

Citizens will be able to report all irregularities, as reported by the Office of the Ombudsman, during the pre-election period as well as on Election Days, April 24, and May 8, 2024.

The free phone line will operate every working day from 8 am to 4 pm, and citizen complaints will be addressed immediately upon receipt, either during live call or through recorded phone messages.

The Ombudsman, aiming to protect citizens' voting rights, will take urgent measures to ensure effective action by the competent authorities involved in the electoral process and by other institutions that are required to ensure protection of their rights guaranteed, reads the press release of the Ombudsman.
