Official COVID-19 stats: 1,385 tests, 504 new cases, 133 reinfections
Skopje, 15 July 2022 (MIA) — Of the 1,385 SARS-CoV-2 tests done in North Macedonia's laboratories over the past 24 hours, 504 came back positive for the virus. Of them, 133 were confirmed reinfections. And two deaths have been added to the country's official COVID-19 death toll, which is 9,339 at the moment, health authorities said Friday According to the Ministry of Health citing Institute of Public Health data, there are now 2,490 active SARS-CoV-2 cases nationwide, of which 1,328 in Skopje. Of the 504 new SARS-CoV-2 cases, 264 were diagnosed in Skopje. New infections were also reported in Bitola – 38, Veles – 30, Kumanovo – 26, Prilep – 25, Kavadarci – 19, Tetovo and Strumica – 15 each, Struga – 11, Kichevo – 10, Shtip – 6, Gostivar, Kochani, Gevgelija and Sveti Nikole – 5 each, Negotino – 4, Ohrid, Resen, Kriva Palanka, Valandovo and Demir Hisar – 3 each, Radovish – 2, Delchevo, Berovo, Kratovo and Makedonski Brod – one new case in each town. Officially, 321 people recovered from their acute COVID-19 infection. The two people who died from the virus died at home in Sveti Nikole (aged 75) and Kumanovo (aged 72) on June 16 and June 30, according to the Ministry of Health. Since the start of the pandemic, 9,339 people have died in North Macedonia from SARS-CoV-2. The country's laboratories have performed a total of 2,096,095 coronavirus tests, officially logging 318,138 SARS-CoV-2 cases and declaring 306,309 recoveries. mr/
