Skopje, 9 October 2024 (MIA) - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Zoran Dimitrovski and Lithuanian Vice-Foreign Minister Simonas Šatūnas opened Wednesday an Office of the Lithuanian Embassy in Skopje.

Deputy PM Dimitrovski said the opening of the diplomatic office is a proof of the friendship between the two countries that has developed over the past 30 years and the mutual commitment to the further strengthening of bilateral ties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

Dimitrovski said further development of economic and trade cooperation will be in the focus over the coming period.

Referring to the benefits of Lithuania's 20-year EU membership, the Deputy PM said it has helped the country develop in economic, political and social terms.

"We want to accomplish the same goal and Lithuania is our close and credible partner on this path", said Dimitrovski.
