North Macedonia's military strength ranked 108th

Skopje, 20 December 2023 (MIA) — North Macedonia's military strength in 2023 has been ranked 108th of 145 out of the countries considered for the annual review by Global Firepower, an independent, statistic-based website tracking defense-related information of 145 nations.

 

According to the list of the most powerful armies in 2023, the United States is in first place, followed by Russia, China, India, Great Britain, South Korea, Pakistan, Japan, France, Italy, Turkiye, Brazil, Indonesia, Egypt, Ukraine, Australia, Iran, Israel, Vietnam, Poland, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand and Germany.

 

In Southeast Europe, Greece has the most powerful army, ranking 30th. Serbia is ranked 58th, Bulgaria 59th, Croatia 68th, Slovenia 86th, Montenegro 128th, and Bosnia and Herzegovina 133rd.

 

Over 60 factors are taken into account to determine a country's military strength, with categories ranging from quantity of military units and financial standing to logistical capabilities and geography. mr/
