North Macedonia, Kosovo Education Ministries sign Memorandum of Cooperation

Skopje, 18 November 2024 (MIA) - The Ministry of Education and Science of North Macedonia and the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of Kosovo will cooperate in the field of education, with focus on vocational education and training as well as adult education.

Education Ministers Vesna Janevska and Arbërie Nagavci signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in Prishtina on Monday, which will facilitate direct contact of educational institutions, exchange of publications, literature, and research materials, and teachers. In order to improve the quality of vocational education and trainings, both sides will exchange experiences on reforms in education and curricula; secondary vocational schools will strengthen mutual contacts through partnerships and school networks, and students will be able to take part in various educational events together, the Ministry of Education and Science said in a press release.

There will also be exchange of professional literature and experts, as well as organization of joint conferences and events that create opportunities for closer cooperation between special canters for adult education. 

The formalization of cooperation promotes greater mutual understanding and contributes to strengthening educational ties between the two countries through the sharing of resources, which is in the interest of raising the quality of education, knowledge, and skills of young people, reads the press release. ssh/ik/
