North Macedonia joins Union for the Mediterranean
Skopje, 13 November 2022 (MIA) - The Republic of North Macedonia has become a member of the Union for the Mediterranean, announced Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani. "Yet another success for our foreign policy. Our country has been admitted to join the Union for the Mediterranean, a key regional forum for cooperation between the European Union and the Mediterranean countries. Every day we're closer to the European Union," Osmani wrote in a Facebook post. The Union for the Mediterranean is an intergovernmental organization of 42 member states from Europe and the Mediterranean Basin - the 27 EU member states and 15 Mediterranean partner countries from North Africa, Western Asia and Southern Europe. Founded in 2008 in Paris, it aims at reinforcing the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (Euromed).
