Skopje, 3 December 2025 (MIA) - The governments of North Macedonia and Serbia signed Wednesday a five-year memorandum of cooperation which enters into force immediately.
The memorandum aims to enhance the communication between institutions and private sector, coordinate economic policies, with a special emphasis on infrastructure connectivity and cooperation on projects of mutual interest such as the modernization of rail and road infrastructure.
The memorandum was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Inter-Community Relations Ivan Stoilkovikj and Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović.
“With today’s signing, the memorandum, which enters into force immediately and remains valid for five years, confirms the clear political will and joint commitment of both governments to intensify economic cooperation and open new opportunities for business communities,” said the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Inter-Community Relations.
The signing of the memorandum preceded the Macedonian-Serbian business forum being held in Skopje, which is being attended by over 200 companies and at least 300 participants.
