Skopje, 27 July 2023 (MIA) - Customs Administration director Stefan Bogoev and Albanian counterpart Genti Gazheli signed Thursday the final protocol over implementation of the agreement on joint border checks at Kjafasan-Qafë Thanë crossing.

The protocol signing marks the final preparations for introduction of the one-stop-shop system at the border crossing, for the purpose of more efficient and facilitated border formalities, shorter waiting times, and improved quality of services for economic operators and passengers, the Customs Administration said in a press release.

Director Bogoev said close cooperation between the countries' customs and border police services would result in faster flow of commodities and passengers, and improve results in detecting illegal activities at the border, thus increasing people's safety.
