Beijing, 5 June 2023 (dpa/MIA) - Nineteen people died and five more were injured in a landslide in south-west China, state media reported on Monday.

The accident happened early on Sunday morning at a forest farm in Yongsheng near the city of Leshan in Sichuan province, state media reported citing local authorities.

More than 600 people took part in the rescue work, with professional equipment also being used, authorities said.

The cause of the landslide was under investigation, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
