Skopje, 11 May 2023 (MIA) - Margarita Caca Nikolovska, chairperson of the working group formed to draft constitutional changes said Thursday that working group concluded the discussion on rules of procedure and that the voting will take place next Friday.

“We were reviewing the rules of procedure. We have concluded the discussion and we will vote on it on Friday,” Caca Nikolovska told reporters after the session of the working group.

Regarding the Government's statement that it expects the text of the constitutional amendments to be known by the end of May, she repeated that she would not speculate concerning the timeframe.

“The working group consists of 23 members, everyone will want to say something, they have the right normally. All of that should be considered, summarized, and depending on all of that, text of amendments will be drafted,” Caca Nikolovska said.

The working group consists of 23 members, ten of whom are experts, ten were nominated by political parties and three represent institutions – the President’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Secretariat for European Affairs.
