Nikoloski: No snap elections after local vote, focus on judiciary cleanup
- Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski said Wednesday there will be no early parliamentary elections after the local vote, adding that focus will be placed on cleanup in the judiciary and the prosecution from those who abused power from the so-called "dark coalition" of SDSM, DUI and Levica.
Gostivar, 15 October 2025 (MIA) - Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski said Wednesday there will be no early parliamentary elections after the local vote, adding that focus will be placed on cleanup in the judiciary and the prosecution from those who abused power from the so-called "dark coalition" of SDSM, DUI and Levica.
"There will be no snap elections, the coalition government is stable and operating perfectly," Deputy PM Nikoloski told reporters in Gostivar.
According to him, the next parliamentary elections will take place in 2028, when the Government's term is set to expire.
"The difference between us and the dark coalition of SDSM, DUI and Levica is that we are talking about projects, while they use empty words and manipulation, along with continued thirst and wish for power. Last year, they went into opposition but have been repeating the call for early elections for the past 15 months. When someone is asking for early elections that soon, they are only interested in privileges and crime associated with power," said Nikoloski.
We will not waste our time with early elections, he added, but focus on a cleanup in the judiciary and the prosecution, and all those who have abused power from the so-called dark coalition of SDSM, DUI and Levica will be held accountable.
