Nikoloski: Five new routes to be launched from Skopje Airport

Skopje, 31 July 2025 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski said Thursday five new routes will be launched from the Skopje International Airport, including Skopje - Madrid and Skopje - Stockholm in November, and Skopje - Prague, Skopje - Bari and Skopje - Cologne in December. 

"This morning, we signed an agreement for five new destinations that will be operated from the Skopje Airport. Five new routes that will bring more tourists in Macedonia, more business in Macedonia and more opportunities for all citizens of Macedonia. Regular flights from Stockholm to Skopje will start in November. Also, regular flights from Madrid to Skopje will start in November, regular flights from Bari to Skopje will start in December, Cologne to Skopje in December, as well as regular flights from Prague to Skopje in December," said Nikoloski. 

He noted that sixteen new airlines have been launched in just one year, including the five new routes and the eleven that are already open. 

"The Skopje and Ohrid airports recorded a total of 1.5 million passengers in the first half of this year alone, which is an increase of 5 percent for the Skopje Airport and 11 percent for the Ohrid Airport. More good news are coming soon, I announce more new airlines," Deputy PM and Transport Minister Nikoloski said.
