Skopje, 7 July 2024 (MIA) - We are seriously considering the possibility of granting a license for a third mobile operator, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Aleksandar Nikoloski announced on Sunday.
“According to our analysis, prices for mobile, cable TV, and internet services are higher than in most European countries. The market is dominated by a classic duopoly. Therefore, we need to find ways to lower service costs. Citizens deserve better and more affordable services. A potential solution is the introduction of a third mobile operator,” Nikoloski stated on his Facebook profile.
Nikoloski said that they will be working to attract leading telecommunications companies to the Macedonian market in the near future.
